Established in 2006, by business partners Duncan Hall and Martin Cuthbert, LightPath IT has been set up to meet two very specific needs:
1 - For small companies, for whom full time, internal or
outsourced IT support is simply uneconomical. We provide
affordable, client specific support, tailored to exactly what each
of our clients need no more, and no less. We achieve this by either
assessing a clients specific needs, and then recommending the
services they need, or allowing our clients to pick and choose
their own services from our comprehensive list of offerings. This
way, the client pays only for the services they need, and are not
committed to any ongoing service contracts. Most work can be
performed in under one day, meaning minimum disruption to your
business and minimum cost to you.
2 - For small or medium sized companies who are fed up with asking
simple IT questions, and being answered in jargon. Our technicians
are all experienced technical support analysts, and know the
frustration that can be caused by a client not understanding
exactly what they are being told. We pride ourselves on making our
customers feel confident in their own IT facilities, and rely on
repeat business from our clients, which is only achieved through
exceptional standards of service.
Martin Cuthbert, the Managing Director, spent nine years of his
career running the UK IT and Communication support division of a
large global management consultancy. During this time he has
overcome all manner of business challenges, and has witnessed the
evolving needs of companies as they and the market place continue
to grow. In 2005 Martin co-founded LightPath IT in answer to the
growing need for IT in all companies, as well as the growing
complexity of hardware and software in the market place.
Steven Rumble, the Technical Director, has over 15 years
experience in the IT industry. Starting his career as the head of
an IT helpdesk for a small multi-site organisation. He has been
providing IT and Business consultancy for large global
organisations for the last twelve years of his career, for
companies including Amstrad, Microsoft and a number of different
governement departments. Steven joined LightPath IT in 2007 and
became Technical Director in 2008. His diverse business experience
has helped Steven brings with him a wealth of IT knowledge, as well
as a passion for leaving his customers happy!
